CHING CHING WONG

Choreographer

Born in the Philippines, raised in Los Angeles, and based in Philadelphia, Ching Ching Wong began her training under Dr. Alia Kaneaikala and went on to graduate from the University of California, Irvine studying under the late Donald McKayle. She began her professional career with NW Dance Project originating roles in creations by Ihsan Rustem, Patrick Delcroix, Lucas Crandall, Felix Landerer, Jiri Pokorny, Didy Veldman, Wen Wei Wang, Sarah Slipper, Alex Soares, Pedro Dias, Loni Landon, James Gregg, and Yin Yue amongst others. As a freelance dancer, has danced for Toogie, LED, CARLON, SALT Contemporary Dance, Peter Chu, Heidi Duckler Dance Theater, Safety Third Productions, Brendan Duggan, and violinist Joe Kye.
Ching Ching was recognized by Dance Magazine as Top 25 to Watch in 2017 and The Princess Grace Award in Dance in 2015. Wong is the founder of Project Salamat, global outreach program, and The Experience, international dance workshop teaching and creating work throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. She newly founded her own company Carrots Carrying Water and was awarded the winner of Rocky Mountain Choreographic Festival. She is the company manager for New York based company tedted Performance Group directed by Teddy Tedholm. 
In addition to her own independent work as teacher, performer, manager, and creator, she is the assistant to Swiss choreographer Ihsan Rustem remounting his works globally.
