ALYSSA FUJIMOTO

Founder/Choreographer

Alyssa began her training under the direction of Linda Fenton, Kelly Messerly and Bonnie Story in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated with her B.A. in Modern dance from Brigham Young University Idaho where she was granted several scholarships including the Tanner scholarship and the Snow Society Talent scholarship. During these studies she was given the opportunity to be a student faculty member along with touring internationally with their performing company, Dance Alliance. While training under Ashley Hoopes, Alyssa was exposed to somatic studies which was instrumental in her current pursuit of certification in Bartenieff Fundamentals.

She has continued her education through training with RDT, River North Dance Chicago, and Raw Moves. Alyssa had the opportunity to perform with Aspire Modern Dance Company from 2011-2012 under the direction of Daniel Atwell. Alyssa was also accepted to the American Dance Festival summer intensive. Her passion lies in the opportunities she has to share her love for the art of movement as a choreographer, teacher and mentor. Alyssa is the Founder of Oquirrh West Project where she formerly acted as the Artistic Director, Executive Director and choreographer for the company.
